The school site is still icy this afternoon despite our ground staff and their efforts.

To address this, the site is being industrially treated and gritted this evening. We are doing everything we can to open tomorrow morning but we cannot make that call until then.

We will endeavour to post an update by 7am tomorrow morning.

Please do not get in touch to advise us on what the weather is like elsewhere or if any other schools are open as this has no bearing as to the safety of Upton’s site.

School will be closed today (Wednesday 8 January).

Owing to the hilly nature of the school site and the ice on the paths, children will not be able to move safely between buildings.
