Upton Hall School has been awarded Lead Practitioner Status in community links by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. This means that our success with respect to our work with the community has been particularly noted so that we share our good practice on a local and national level.
Our community plans include work with our partner primary schools, secondary schools and the wider community including adult learning and the Wirral Hospital Trust.

Our partner primary schools include St Joseph’s (Upton), Sacred Heart, St Paul’s, Hayfield, Our Lady of Pity and Ladymount. Our partner secondary schools include St Anselm’s, Ridgeway High, Woodchurch, and Prenton High. We also work with all schools across Wirral.
We work with the Wirral Hospital Trust as our wider community partner. We have produced a training video on ‘Breaking Bad News’ which is used to train medical practitioners in counseling families and friends of patients.
We have been working with St Paul’s school in developing learning materials using the interactive whiteboard technology to raise attainment for Foundation pupils (ages 4 and 5) across the curriculum.
This work is being published and disseminated on a national level as part of our Lead Practitioner status.
