Language Course July 2007
Sixth Form students attended a British Council Language Immersion Course in Mandarin Chinese based in Shanghai.
A Chinese school, Changzhou Senior Middle School in Jiangsu Province (nor far from Shanghai) offered a Summer Club for British school studentsin July.
The Summer Club consisted of sessions of learning Mandarin Chinese and activities to introduce the students to Chinese culture. Visits to three popular tourist cities, Shanghai, Suzhou (where Liverpool University China Campus is located) and Wuxi were also included in the programme.
As we have a link school in Shanghai a visit was made to Shanghai Caoyang No 2 High School where they received a very warm welcome.
