Upton has a dynamic Sixth Form offering a wide choice of subjects and excellent individual pupil support to ensure that all students achieve the best possible grades in their public examinations.
Courses begin with an Induction Programme to help make that important transition from Key Stage 4 to Advanced Level. This is the first step in a co-ordinated programme designed to offer advice about Higher Education, the UCAS process and maximising chances of success. Students interested in Oxbridge entrance are offered specialist advice and ongoing support.
An excellent service on results day ensures students obtain places at appropriate universities.
Sixth Form social life is stimulating and varied, with a range of activities during lunchtime and after school.
We welcome inspirational and sometimes high profile speakers with the Sixth Form whenever possible.
Trips abroad, community service, debating, participating in the Sports Leaders Award Scheme and the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, orchestra and choir are just some of the activities currently undertaken by our Sixth Form students.
Sixth Formers have their own common room, dress code, careers library, prefect structure, social activities, email and internet plus access to IT, multimedia and Learning Mentor suites.

Newcomers Welcome
Our Sixth Form comprises pupils who have come up through the earlier years at Upton Hall plus a significant intake of newcomers who have studied to GCSE level at other schools.
We particularly welcome applications from potential new pupils who will find a supportive and friendly environment from staff and existing pupils.
High grades
Our success in enabling students to gain places on the most competitive university courses across the country reflects our high percentage of passes at Grades A and B – considerably more than 50%.
No other local school can match our success in the Advanced Extension Awards taken by an increasing number of students each year.
