Upton Hall members of the Birkenhead School Combined Cadet Force joined their colleagues at Birkenhead School for the annual Service of Remembrance

The parade assembled for inspection at 10.30 and then marched to Chapel where the standards were placed before the altar and Canon Peter Christensen welcomed the congregation and the Act of Remembrance was made.

'Let us remember before God, and commend to his sure keeping those who have died for this country in war, those whom we knew, and those whose memories we treasure, and all who lived and died in the service of humanity.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old; age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn; at the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
When you go home tell them of us and say for your tomorrow we gave our today.'
The service proceeded with readings and prayers. Canon Peter addressed the congregation with thoughts on 'life's defining moments'.

After the blessing the standards were collected and the cadets marched across the grounds, pausing for the Last Post.
