Great results were being celebrated by students, staff and parents at Upton Hall School this summer. 60% of the A level grades were Grades A and B and there was an overall passrate of 99%.
Not even the pouring rain could dampen the excitement of the girls as they looked forward to taking up places at universities all around the country, including Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh.
The girls agreed that you don't have to be rich or privileged to get into the top universities.
Mrs Patricia Young, Headteacher said "It is wonderful to see so many happy faces. The results are well deserved and a tribute to the hard work of students and staff and the support given by parents. We are so proud of these girls."
