Success in Cadet Skill at Arms (CSAAM) Competition by Charlotte Langan, L6Ha

I went to Altcar ranges to take part in a competition called Cadet Skill at Arms (CSAAM) from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September 2009.

The two days consisted of many different shoots, some individual and some team shoots.  My team consisted of:

L/Cpl Langan (me)

Sgt Swift

Sgt Walsby-Tickle

Sgt Ince

My most memorable shoot was falling plate. As a team we got to the quarter finals of this shoot. We had to run 100m as quickly as possible to the shooting point and shoot down 10 plates before the other team. Birkenhead's best time was 1 min 40 secs.

My awards!

I won the following three awards:

  • The CSAMM 2009 Deliberate Shoot CCF Individual Female Winner Plaque

  • The Montgomery Shoot CCF Individual Female WInner Plaque

  • The CSAAM 2009 Champion Cadet CCF Overall Winner Trophy.
This trophy judged both male & female cadets making me the best shot in the North West with a GP L98 A1 cadet rifle.
