  1. Hello! This is me! – personal information, family, home.
  2. School – school subjects, types of school, opinions, school rules, future plans.
  3. Hobbies – sports and hobbies, TV, invitations
  4. Home town – places in town, tourism, transport, directions
  5. Shopping – shops, food, clothes, post office, lost property
  6. Holidays – countries, weather, accommodation, tourism
  7. At home – daily routine, meals, health, accidents.
  8. Work – part-time jobs, professions, future plans, work experience
  9. Freetime – money, eating out, cinema and theatre, festivals
  10. Teenagers! – relationships, health, environment, exam technique

 

Grammar Programme


The proposed Grammar Programme which follows sets out the grammatical structures which will be studied in depth and practised thoroughly in a particular term, using the grammar sheets from Volume 4 of Logo! and other resources.

 

Half-Term

  1. The verb “to be”, plurals, possessive adjectives, prepositions, “es gibt”, adjective endings, separable verbs.
  2. Modal verbs, imperatives, adjective endings, word order
  3. Present tense of irregular verbs, gern, adjective endings, prepositions with motion, perfect tense
  4. Keinen/keine/kein; man kann + infinitive, mit + transport, weil, conditional
  5. Qualities, adjective endings
  6. Man kann + infinitive, perfect tense, question words, war/waren
  7. Reflexive verbs, um … zu + infinitive, imperfect tense
  8. Passive, imperfect of modal verbs, future tense, no articles with jobs
  9. Weil, imperfect tense, hast du Lust …. zu + infinitive
  10. Object pronouns, comparative, dass, modal verbs

Homework


Homework is generally set after each lesson to practise or extend what has been covered. It may take a variety of forms: learning vocabulary, preparing and learning for oral test, reading or listening comprehension, writing, preparation and writing of coursework.
